Clonella
Free chat companions with pay-as-you-go images
Overview
Clonella is an AI companion platform where you can pick from a large character library or build your own, either from scratch or by uploading reference photos. Companions can send images inside chat, remember earlier conversations, and join group rooms where several characters talk at once.
Its pricing model is the standout. Chatting is free and unlimited, and you only pay for credits when you want images, videos or new photo-based characters. There is no subscription, credits do not expire, and new accounts get a few free images. That makes it attractive for users who mostly chat and only occasionally want visuals, though photo cloning should only be used with images you have permission to use.
Our Verdict
One of the better value picks thanks to free unlimited chat and no-subscription credits. Group chats add some fun variety.
