JOI AI
Polished companion app with creator personas and media tools
Overview
JOI AI is a polished character platform that mixes original companions with AI personas of real creators and digital celebrities. Characters are sorted into women, men and anime, so it works for users looking for a girlfriend or a boyfriend, and a built-in studio lets you create your own characters or generate images and short videos.
The service runs on a premium subscription plus an in-app currency called Neurons, which covers extras on top of chat. The site also publishes a safety page and lists an advisory board, which is more governance detail than most rivals offer. It suits users who want a mainstream-feeling, well-designed app with spicy options, though the layered pricing takes some figuring out.
Our Verdict
Slick and versatile, with creator personas as a highlight, but expect to spend on Neurons beyond the subscription.
