NovelAI
Anime image generation and AI co-writing in one suite
Overview
NovelAI is a long-running subscription service that pairs two tools: an anime-focused image generator and an AI writing assistant for interactive fiction. The current image model, NovelAI Diffusion V5, aims at sharper detail, scenes with several characters and even full comic page layouts, and it is widely regarded as one of the strongest options for anime-style art.
The story side is designed for collaboration rather than one-click output, letting you steer a narrative, build worlds and keep track of characters over long sessions. It has a reputation for light content restrictions, which makes it popular with adult fiction writers as well as artists. It is best for creators who value control and quality over a chat-companion experience.
Our Verdict
One of the best anime image generators available, with a capable writing tool included; it rewards users willing to learn its controls.
