Kindroid
Deeply customisable companion with standout memory
Overview
Kindroid is a companion app focused on building one deeply customised AI character and growing that relationship over time. You can shape backstory, personality and appearance, then talk by text or with realistic voices, and the AI can send selfies that match its look. It has passed four million downloads and holds a strong App Store rating.
Memory is its main selling point: the standard subscription already includes a longer short-term context, while the Ultra and MAX add-ons expand it further for users who want very long-running stories. New accounts now start with a short premium trial that needs a payment method, rather than an open free plan. It suits people who want a thoughtful, persistent companion and are happy to pay for it.
Our Verdict
One of the most capable companion apps for long-term relationships, but it is now firmly a paid product.
